I know what you mean when you talk about mindset shifts. After I quit drinking, I quit smoking. After that I started looking at other areas of my life that needed improvement. I felt like I had tackled 2 of the hardest ones.
I quit coffee, Facebook and soda. Then I started learning code and actually followed through with it and landed a job. I also write articles and tutorials on Python here on Medium.
Unfortunately after 3 years I relapsed during the Covid lockdown. I've been drinking on and off since then. I'm currently at 2 weeks sober.
You said 4 months is 'still early in the process' Well. It's always early in the process. Congratulations. I wish you all the best.
