I’m doing this exact thing right now. I went from 70k/year to $13/hour. I’ve always preached how my motivations and passions in life aren’t charged by financial pursuits.

I dare say, I think I’m happier. Having lots of money comes with its own set of expectations and problems that people who have never had that kind of money don’t really understand. Greener grass I guess. I have a voice in the back of my head that’s starting to get impatient with this life style though. Which is confusing, because I genuinely do feel happier.
